New Officers – January 2010

This week the Fund announced the addition of two new team members:

  •  Alicia Parker – Vice President, Construction and Environment
  • Virgi Blaine – Vice President, Community Relations

Alicia will help us grow & manage our recycling efforts & Virgi will help us to further find the needs in the community.

The following ran in the Idaho Statesman on Saturday January 16, 2010:

The John William Jackson Fund, in the Idaho Community Foundation elected two new officers: Alicia Parker, vice president, construction and environment, and Virgi Blaine, vice president, community relations.

Parker is an assistant project manager and estimator with ESI Construction Inc. Previously, she worked for Construction firms in Bend, Ore., and Brookfield, Wis. She graduated from the Milwaukee School of Engineering with an architectural engineering degree. She is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and certified as a LEED-AP BD&C. She will be advising the Idaho Youth Education Recycling Partnership, a division of the fund and leading metals recycler, on construction industry recycling and environmental stewardship.

Blaine is co-founder of Mis Amigos! LLC, a Spanish immersion school in Eagle. She has worked as a medical social worker at UC San Diego Medical Center and spent a year in Mexico as a volunteer at an orphanage. Blaine graduated from Santa Clara University with a psychology degree and San Diego State University with a masters in social work. Blaine will be responsible for the fund’s community outreach. She also will be identifying unmet needs in the community.
