This week's spotlight is on a young music student, Danielle Ashton, a senior high school student (home schooled) who was a 2013 John William Jackson Fund scholarship recipient at the Boise State University Summer Chamber Music Camp.

Dear JWJ Foundation,

Thank you so much for the scholarship to BSU’s chamber music camp! It was an amazing experience, and I grew so much musically over the week. I play the piano, and it was great to connect with and be challenged by other musicians. The faculty was wonderful in their instruction and encouragement, and really pushed everyone to do their best! The whole week was incredible, and was a big boost to my passion for music.
Thanks again!

~Danielle Ashton~

Note:  Del Parkinson, a well known concert pianist, teacher and BSU music professor, instructed the piano students during the week long camp.  Del informed us that the piano students were outstanding this year.
