The John William Jackson Fund sponsored the attendance of several veterans from the Idaho State Veterans Home for the Boise Philharmonic's Picnic at the POPS summer outdoor Americana concert.

Pictured are some of the veterans from the Idaho State Veterans Home with a few volunteers from the home and “Action” Jackson.

Note:  The veterans were able to enjoy the magnificent performance of the Boise Philharmonic conducted by Robert Franz, music director.  The concert, held at the Woodriver Cellars in Eagle, was a sold out event.  The concert included members of the orchestra, Boise Philharmonic Master Chorale, Capital High School Marching Band and guest artist Derrick Parker, baritone and narrator.

Special thanks to the following Idaho State Veterans Home volunteers:  Anthony Courville, Jerry Kelleher, Yolanda Jimenez Kelleher, Alissa Jimenez, Vanessa Jimenez, Michael Jimenez and Margaret Klawiter.  Robert Besecker, Lyle Pearson Manager, treated the veterans to dinner snacks.
