iYERP is featuring Jack's Urban Meeting Place's tower crane operator for the JUMP Project. Yes there is only ONE WAY to work for him and that is he has to climb to get there.

Pictured is Bill Newhouse, a very skilled operative engineer out of IUOE Local # 370, Pocatello, Idaho.  The union is affiliated with the International Union of Operating Engineers.

Note:  Once Bill, early in the morning, climbs up approximately 165 feet (hook height) to his work station, he doesn’t comes down until 10 hours later.  He averages 10 hours per day and has been confined to his work station up to 16 hours.  How’s that for working in a confined space as the tower crane sways back and forth on a windy day?
