Virgi Blaine, Vice President, Community Relations and Kurt Zwolfer, Executive Director of The Cabin Idaho at the 13th Annual Grant Awards Event.

Note:  The $5000 grant is in memory of the late Velma Morrison, a dear friend and beloved philanthropist.  The grant helps supports The Cabin Idaho’s Author in Residence Program.  Annually a renowned writer is invited to Boise who speaks at the Egyptian Theatre and talks with students at a school and the Ada County Juvenile Detention Center.

The Cabin Idaho’s mission is to inspire the love of reading, writing and discourse. It was John Jackson’s class mate, Mark Spenner (JWJF Vice President), who recommended the Fund consider The Cabin Idaho. To learn more, visit the thecabinidaho.org.
