“The benefit of receiving this scholarship goes far beyond the financial aspect. Receiving this scholarship has benefited me by showing that I have people outside of my family and friends who are rooting for me and my success. It’s easy for one to lose faith at times and wonder if the hard work and effort is really worth the struggle. So when someone comes along and rewards you, it pushes you in the right direction and restores faith in yourself and your abilities. Getting this scholarship has encouraged me to keep excelling in my efforts because whether I realize it or not, people are looking out for me and rooting for my success.”
