Remembering John William Jackson (6/22/1976, New Jersey – 8/30/2000, Kyrgyzstan)
“…….I cannot say that was the only moment which changed my life, because it was not, But after that day, I have lived life by a different philosophy, I have dared to live not just watch. I can say that I have been to the edge and for a brief instant I have stood and looked down, and I realize that life is an opportunity that we need to take full advantage of. I know that everything in life is temporary, and we are not given nearly enough time with the people we truly wish to spend with……..”
Note: When John was 15, he wrote an Essay after witnessing his father, Action, hunched over, struggling to rake leaves following heart surgery.
